We stayed in Kabelvåg for about a week, and made day trips from there; it’s quite easy since it’s day 24 hours a day… 😉
This is the village where we stayed for a week.
Free bike, but only during low tide:
Gunnar Berg (1863-1893) was a painter:
We spent a week in the Lofoten Islands; it was pure magic. Here are the pictures taken until we arrived in Svolvær on the Hurtigruten Coastal Express.
Below are the pictures taken during my visit in Tromsø, a city located in Northern Norway. We arrived during the Midnight Sun Marathon, after three flights. And the sun didn’t set! The city has a very nice atmosphere. I think I’d like to live there, but I’m not sure about winter and the polar night…
Temporary dwelling used by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia. It was used as a shelter during the midnight sun marathon:
Note the bird standing on the sculpture. They seem to be on every statue.
See all the pictures of and near Tromsø.
Now we’re about to board to the Lofoten Islands.
I spent this week end in Niederbronn les Bains, Alsace, France. Then we went to the Bitcherland for my mother’s cousin birthday party. We hiked quite a lot also, despite the rain and thunderstorms.
Those green holes look like the eyes in some science fiction movies…

I went outside to the conservatory which is very close to my home to see the lunar eclipse, but unfortunately I didn’t see anything (haha), so I took pictures around.
I’m not sure but one of those trees was already shot last winter.
This is how the sky looked like the evening of the lunar eclipse.
I hiked with Rocio today; we’ve been caught by a thunderstorm on the way but it wasn’t enough to stop us.
Most of the time, we followed the hiking trail named Autopedestre Lamadelaine.
Did they really have to label it?
